Many small heritage organisations are facing the loss of possibly a whole season of visitor income including admissions, donations, café and shop. Yet there are still regular and fixed bills to pay.
We are already helping a number of organisations to think through their cash situation, looking up to 12 months ahead, and making a plan about how to get through to the 2021 season. This thinking is helping organisations to make an application to the Third Sector Resilience Fund, which aims to provide grant to stop organisations closing https://scvo.org.uk/support/coronavirus/funding/for-organisations
Where possible, organisations applying to this fund also need to take advantage of other sources of support including https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-for-wage-costs-through-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme.
